African food and cosmetics already have what the world wants. What they often lack is documentation that buyers can trust.

Processed foods, spice blends, cold-pressed oils, preserved goods, traditional snacks, natural skincare, haircare, soaps and cosmetic formulations — these are products with real value and real demand. What holds them back is not quality. It is proof: proof of origin, proof of ingredients, proof of process, proof that the producer is who they say they are.

ACE provides the documentation, verification, traceability and market access infrastructure that turns a good product into a product a buyer can buy with confidence — across borders, at the price the quality deserves.

Food and cosmetics work differently, but they need the same foundations

Both segments face the same core challenge: proving what is inside the product and where it comes from. ACE handles both under one identity and one record system.

Three problems ACE solves for this sector

These are the practical barriers that keep African food and cosmetics out of the markets they deserve to be in.

📋

Documentation that a buyer can trust

A buyer in another country cannot visit your facility. They need a record they can check. ACE gives every product a verifiable digital identity — ingredients, origin, producer, process — that travels with the product across borders.

🌿

Honest claims about botanicals

"Natural" and "African" are claims, not facts. When a cosmetic uses a botanical from community-held knowledge, ACE documents the source and the benefit-sharing arrangement — so the claim is real, and the community is acknowledged.

🔍

Cross-border verification

Customs and standards officials need to check what is in the shipment quickly. ACE provides a public verification endpoint that any official, buyer or consumer can use in seconds — no login required for the verification itself.

What ACE does not do in this sector

ACE does not approve food products for consumption, does not authorise cosmetics for sale, and does not replace food safety authorities, standards bodies or health regulators. Product authorisation, food safety approval and market approval remain with the competent authorities in each jurisdiction.

ACE documents what producers and authorities have determined, connects that record to the product, and makes it verifiable across borders. The legal authority to sell a food or cosmetic product stays with the authority that grants it.
