The Heritage Studio is the gateway to the ACE Platform. It is where a visitor, a creator, a community, a researcher, a custodian or a buyer begins. From here, every sector is reachable — with rights, provenance and verification built in from the first step.
From documentation, to protection, to knowledge, to authorised use — and to cultural and economic value.
Heritage on this platform is not objects in a museum. It is living knowledge, expression, practice and community. The Heritage Studio is the structured data, rights and provenance infrastructure that makes heritage usable, protected, and tradeable — with the authority of the custodian intact.
Search and browse African heritage by country, region, community, language, type, historical period and traditional knowledge. Every record has its own profile.
Submit heritage information: name, local name, origin, community, custodian, description, provenance, supporting documents. The record enters the verification workflow.
Communities, custodians, museums, researchers, universities and heritage authorities create profiles, nominate representatives, and define access conditions.
Every eligible heritage asset receives a Heritage Passport: a unique ID, provenance, verification status, rights/permissions, related records, registration date and a QR code that leads to public verification.
Search verified heritage records. A public record shows the PAHL Heritage ID, name, country, custodian, status, passport status and verification date. QR scanning opens this page.
A public-facing cultural experience: African civilisations, languages, traditional knowledge, textiles, music, food heritage, botanical heritage, crafts, historical trade, innovation, oral histories, diaspora heritage.
One of the core elements of the Heritage Studio. Each eligible heritage asset receives a Passport — a documented, verifiable identity that travels with the heritage into education, research, creative industries and authorised commerce.
The Heritage Studio is not an isolated website. It is the foundation layer that other ACE Studios draw from — with rights, provenance and verification preserved at every step.
Traditional textiles, motifs and techniques connected to documented custodians, feeding into creative production.

Selected, verified material presented to the public in an accessible, curated cultural experience.
Where appropriately authorised and protected, heritage becomes a source of education, research, innovation, creative production and economic opportunity — with the community and custodian recognised, attributed and protected at every step.
